Peel an onion and a carrot and cut it into small cubes, clean the mushrooms and cut into large pieces.
Heat the oil, add onion and carrot and cook until golden brown and then add the mushrooms. Mushrooms will release a lot of water and therefore either there is no need to add water or add very little.
Add spices, water or tomato juiceĀ and cook for about 10 minutes.
If it is too liquid, add a teaspoon of thickener or flour.
